PCTF Measurement Engineer

A Renewable Energy client is looking for PCTF Measurement Engineer to work onshore for their offshore wind farm project. The client is looking for a consultant who will work as a Measurement Engineer in the Power Curve Task Force. The PCTF Measurement Engineer will need to work in close co-operation with the yard in connection with the design packages preparation, follow up closely on progress (time, scope, quality), communicate to DE project team as needed. The Client is looking for the PCTF Measurements Engineer to start this role approx. 16th February 2015 up unto the 31st July 2015, with the possibility of a further 3 month extension. Hours of work will be 5 working days (Monday - Friday) 7.5 hrs in average

Job Description:

Proactive actions to increase safety and reduce project risks
Ensure key stakeholders (project owner) are informed and agree on the Power Curve Validation campaign scoping, through a project contact document
Plan and lead meetings with stakeholders to identify risks and actions for a milestone plan
Act as project manager for delivery of the power curve verification contracts with measurement equipment suppliers and third party contractors whilst liaising with contract manager
Plan and ensure safe execution of measurement equipment installation
Initiate work within measurement team to execute data retrieval from measurement equipment
Lead internal and external project meetings with project team and suppliers to ensure delivery within the scope
Follow up on collected data externally supplied performance reports. Push to carry out any intended analysis for data including results QAs
Advise of commercial negotiations related to test results, hold discussions with contractual counterpart in legal guarantee agreements
