PC Technician 2

We are looking for a PC TECHNICIAN for a 3 months contract position in Atlanta, GA.

This is a Full time position at the North Druid Hills data center located off the service road of I-85 and North Druid Hills Road. This is not a work-at-home/remote position. The hours (though somewhat flexible) are from 9am - 5pm.

SKILLS:

- Education: 2-year degree or equivalent experience
- 1+ years PC support experience
- Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of PC operating systems

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for the installation, repair and preventative maintenance of personal computer and related systems.
- Performs all installations, upgrades and backups of software and hardware applications.
- Troubleshoots software and hardware failures and identifies network problems when they relate to PCs. May assist Systems Administrator and Systems Engineer with troubleshooting of information systems.
- Candidate will be well organized, have excellent customer service, and troubleshooting skills.

DUTIES INCLUDE (BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

- MBI and Custom PC Image testing and QA (USB MDT Kit and PXE Servers)
- CAE OS Mgr Testing (one of the tools used to migrate PCs from XP to Windows 7)
- Windows XP to Windows 7 Migration Issues/Troubleshooting
- PC problem troubleshooting
- New Hardware Benchmarking
- Work trouble ticket queue (Remedy)
- Shipping/Receiving of evaluation hardware
- Tracking all team's Hardware/maintaining hardware inventory
- Maintain PC Lab, keeping it secure with all the hardware.
- Wyse Thin Client Image QA and Testing
- Back other teammates up while on PTO
