PC Refresh Technician Job

PC REFRESH TECHNICIAN needed for a six (6) month opportunity with Yoh's client located in Wellsville, NY.

THE BIG PICTURE:

The PC Refresh Technician will be responsible for imaging and rolling out software updates for all desktops on site. The qualified candidate will complete 3 to 5 machines per day (minimum 10 per week) and is expected to provide exceptional customer service.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Microsoft software installation
- Microsoft Windows installation
- Computer Refreshing

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Refreshing computers including laptop, desktop, and work stations
- Install software required by user
- Complete paperwork, updating systems with refresh data
- Deliver or arrange for equipment delivery to users' desk (includes shipping to off-sites)
- Retrieve old hardware and clean off for return to Lease company
- Follow process including verifying license assignments
- Document and discard old hardware as needed
- Remote users machines to fix issues caused by refresher or as needed
- Assist with some tasks related to replacing monitors, keyboards, etc. for users
- Assist in monthly inventory audits and tracking all hardware
- Assist with recovering leased hardware from users after refresh or termination of employment
- Some lifting required
- Assist to fill in when department is shorthanded

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- One (1) year experience installing Windows on PCs in a business setting
- One (1) year experience installing Microsoft software in a business setting
- One (1) year experience providing customer service (in person and by phone)

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Associate Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience supporting hardware
- Experience installing
