PC/LAN Administrator

Synergy Consulting Group for a PC/LAN Administrator in Garyville, LA. The expected duration is 12 months with ongoing extensions.

This opportunity pays anywhere from 20/hr. to 25/hr. based on candidate experience.

The PC/LAN Administrator will be supporting Windows 7 desktop computers, Servers and printers for a national Fortune 500 company.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Will provide break fix services and work projects relating to desktop systems and software applications for enterprise LAN. Work will consist of 80% applications & desktop support, 10% server support, and 10% network support.

QUALIFICATIONS:

3+ years' experience supporting enterprise IT environments

Setup/installation of Windows 7 computers and printers

Production application support - both shrink wrap & custom internal
-

Basic Windows 2000 - 2008 server support

Basic Cisco LAN networking - Patching jacks & terminating cable installs

Performs Active Directory password resets and user group changes

Basic understanding of VMWare and SAN/NAS infrastructure is a plus

Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required

IT based certifications desired - MCSE, A+, Network+, CCNA
