Title: PC/LAN Administrator

Type: Contract - 12 months

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Installing, configuring, upgrading and repairing desktop and laptop computers running Microsoft Windows XP Professional and Windows 7 Enterprise.
- Imaging new and existing desktop/laptop computers.
- Deploying and configuring mobile devices.
- Ensuring complete security, confidentiality, reliability and integrity of corporate data, proprietary information and intellectual property.
- Providing Level 2 PC/LAN support.
- Troubleshoot problems, interface with customers, Information Technology personnel, other departments and vendors to help minimize down time and outages.
- Individual must be able to work independently and as a team member on multiple projects.
- Individual will also need to be self-motivated and perform on-call duties on a rotating schedule.

REQUIREMENTS:

- 4-year College degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Level 2 PC/LAN Support in a Ethernet based TCP/IP Network environment
- Significant experience installing, configuring, upgrading and repairing Windows desktop, and laptop computers.
- Significant experience supporting mobile devices such as iPhone, Blackberry, Windows Mobile and cellular cards.
- Experience in using PC imaging software including Windows 7 MDT.
- Experience with remote user support.
- Thorough understanding of Microsoft Windows XP Professional and Windows 7 Enterprise.
- Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office 2007 and 2010.
- Thorough understanding of Microsoft Active Directory.
- Basic understanding of Group Policy Objects (GPO) and Group Policy Preferences (GPP).
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows Server software.
- Basic understanding of PC imaging technologies including Ghost and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit.
- Thorough understanding of Microsoft networking technologies (DNS, WINS, DHCP, etc).
- Thorough understanding of Ethernet based TCP/IP Networking Technologies .
- Familiarity with Windows SharePoint.
- Basic understanding of desktop security controls and systems.
- Ability to upgrade desktop and laptop computers with RAM, hard drives, network interface cards, etc.
- Understanding of remote computing options such as WiFi, wireless broadband, VPN and Citrix.
