Payroll Team Leader/Payroll Manager/Finance Team Leader

My Bristol based client is looking for a Payroll Team Leader/Finance Team Leader/Payroll Manager for a 5 month contract.

The role:
* Work in partnership with key stakeholders, identify people related business issues and propose HR solutions.
* Support large-scale change within the organisation which includes the introduction of new ways of working and new Terms and Conditions for staff.
* Assist in Trade Union negotiations regarding changes within the organisation.
* Support the communication of changes to staff and managers.
* Carry out research in support of the HR Business Consultants and produce first drafts of papers with proposals for HR interventions across a range of OD, reward and ER issues.
* Work with the Business Consultants to provide input into policy development which meets the client's needs.
* Coach Managers to lead and manage the change agenda by improving the people capabilities of their teams.
* Provide guidance and knowledge of the HR Functional areas, providing quality help and support to the wider HR team and the business.

Skills and experience required for Payroll Team Leader/Finance Team Leader/Payroll Manager:
* Experience of advising on HR best practice and associated legislation.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills
* Good people management skills with the ability to develop and motivate.
* Able to analyse management information and identify trends
* Ability to work up solutions to management issues engaging the parties who are involved
* Good planning and organising skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
* Experience of leading and managing in a team environment
* Experience in the use of Oracle Discoverer
* Experience of applying policy and guidelines to casework.
* Willingness to travel on occasions with the possibility of an overnight stay if necessary.
* Ensure that payroll is run accurately and timely
