Payroll Operations Manager: 3 month rolling contract - Cambridgeshire

Our client is currently recruiting for a Payroll Operations Manager on a 3 month rolling contract basis to fill in for their permanent Payroll Manager who has been seconded on a project to implement a new HR system. The successful Payroll Operations Manager will be based in the Cambridgeshire office with once monthly expensed trips to the head office in London.

Key responsibilities for the Payroll Operations Manager:
. Collating internal payroll information for 700+ members of staff
. Inputting information into Sage 50
. Running the payroll for all employees
. Answering employee queries around pay, pay slips, tax etc.
. Dealing with and processing SMP, SPP, bonuses, Child Care schemes, expenses, tax codes etc.
. Working within FCA regulations
. Working in a fast paced environment, making last minute changes if necessary with a sense of urgency

Key skills for the Payroll Operations Manager:
. Running payroll for a large company of 200+ members of staff
. Previous experience with Sage 50 is essential
. Skilled user of MS Excel
. Knowledge of HMRC payment process
. Knowledge of legislation relating to SSP, SMP and tax codes
. FCA regulations understanding
. Calm under pressure
