Payroll Officer - London

My client has a vacancy as a Payroll Officer to cover maternity leave, the department that you will be working in deals with accounting, financial, payroll and procurement services. Payroll also handles payments to suppliers, receipts and members. My client is looking to implement the Northgate Payroll and HR System which is due to go live in 2013.

Your main responsibilities will include; processing the monthly and casual payrolls, you will be working closely with the HR department to ensure that salaries allowance and other payments are done correctly, preparing regular reconciliations and year end returns to HMRC and others. Assisting in the implementation of the new Northgate payroll and HR system. Not only this but assisting in the general clerical duties in this and other sections of the Finance Department as required, and providing wider support for the operations section as necessary.

You will need; Good IT skills including knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office, previous clerical experience and experience in customised payroll and accounting methods, strong communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to discuss and clarify the issues around pay. This requires a high level of telephone, correspondence and personal contact skills. And experience using Northgate payroll systems.
