Payroll Officer - Glasgow - 6 Months - Immediate Start

PAYROLL OFFICER - GLASGOW - 3 MONTHS - IMMEDIATE START

CONTRACT. GLASGOW. 3 MONTHS +. £140 - £170 PER DAY

Our GLASGOW based client has an urgent requirement for an experienced PAYROLL OFFICER for an initial 6 MONTH CONTRACT IDEALLY STARTING IMMEDIATELY.

The successful candidate will coordinate and administer the organisation's payroll service to ensure it is delivered efficiently and effectively in line with company policy and tax legislation, maintaining all necessary payroll records.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Check and audit all payrolls for accuracy and compliance
- Calculate variable pay in accordance with terms and conditions and as required by relevant legislation and audit requirements
- Ensure a professional payroll service is delivered to staff at all times
- Respond to payroll queries
- Ensure operational control and auditing procedures are followed at all times in relation to payroll amendments
- Assist with administering the payroll
- Ensure efficient distribution of payslips and P45s following processing of the payroll
- Provide appropriate updates to management and staff on changes in payroll legislation

EXPERIENCE

- Highly proficient in payroll rules and regulations
- Detailed knowledge of payroll processes
- Experience of applying detailed technical guidance in payroll context
- Use of a computerised payroll system
- Experience of occupational pension schemes and pension scheme administration
- Computer literate, including excellent Excel skills
