I am trying to hire a Payroll manager for our public sector client.

. Manage and develop the staff within the Employee Support and Trent Team, encouraging continuous improvement, and overseeing their day to day activities. Direct line manager for 4 EOs. Ensure year end appraisals and interims are completed on time and that appropriate FJPs are in place Payroll.

. To manage payroll function, so that it is operated and managed in a way that ensures that staff are paid accurately and on time and that the appropriate checks and authorisations comply with National Audit Office (NAO) standards.

. To carry out full monthly payroll reconciliations and rejections ensuring these are resolved within agreed timescales.

. To make 3 rd party payments - liaising with providers to ensure payments are made and reconciled each month. To oversee and process monthly reports on tax/NI and handle complex HMRC queries. Complete Year end tax and NI reconciliations for the production of P60s.

. Manage both internal and external payroll/pension audits conducted by internal auditors by preparing the relevant documentation (which will be requested in advance) and meeting with the auditors on site. Undertake monthly RTI reconciliation and complete the Year End Process (P60s). Off salary costs process for transferred out employees. Provide accurate figures to ensure that correct invoices are raised and respond to any queries posed both by Finance and OGDs. Payroll related benefits. Responsible for the management of the childcare salary sacrifice scheme liaising with employees, payroll and the provider. Management of the Cycle to Work Scheme liaising with colleagues, payroll and the provider. Two schemes to run each year, normally April and October. Pensions General pension related issues including. Management of Auto Enrolment processes.

. Monthly corrections of errors generated from the pension interface between iTrent and Compendia (formerly PenServer). Primary contact point for MyCSP's general enquiry team on employee pension changes/amendments and information to update Compendia records etc.

Other.

Provide advice and support in handling secondment payments/invoices and certifying these on Omnidox.
