Payroll Manager (m/f)

-Ensure the monthly payroll operation meets/exceeds the published service standards and is within the agreed timetable
-Perform the required checks to the current monthly payrolls using the previous month and to arrange for variances to be investigated
-Undertake full responsibility for the complete payroll function
-Manage the processing of the expat payroll and equity processes
-Manage the review and update current process and procedures, identifying improvement possibilities
-Manage all investigations into discrepancies between the payroll system and HR
-Manage the full year end processing of bonus payment and reporting
-Report to Regional Payroll Manager and escalate to the relevant issues promptly
-Ensure all procedures are fully documented and reviewed on a regular basis
-Authorize requests for changes to the payroll system
-Establish best practices, which can be transferred across the region
-In depth knowledge of best practice payroll methodology
-Detailed knowledge of employee/employer tax legislation
-Experience within complete payroll including manual calculations, reconciliations, salary sacrifice, sickness and pension contributions
-Accounting qualification
-Functional expertise within Payroll Operations
-Fluent English and German
-SAP experience is preferred
-Willing to travel on a regular basis
