This is a great chance to be part of an already successful team in the lucrative energy sector. As the Payroll Manager you will be responsible for the following:
Main responsibilities:
* Working closely and maintaining effective relationships with the business and Finance along with HR leaders and HR Business partners
* Providing professional direction, leadership and effective management of Payroll, Expenses and Benefits; operating and maintaining effectiveness and flexibility to meet the needs of the businesses,
* Maintaining and improving the effectiveness of legislatively compliant payment channels, systems and processes,
* Ensuring all client and third party individuals engaged in payroll, pensions, expenses and benefits processes are suitably trained, qualified and accredited as appropriate,
* Managing effective relationships with all internal stakeholders,
* Supporting the Vendor Management role managing the operational relationships with third party suppliers, required to ensure value for money pay and benefits strategies,
* Effective business operation and risk management in relation to Payroll, Pensions, Expenses and Benefits.
Key Skill Requirements:
The post holder will have:
* Relevant breadth and depth of Payroll, Pensions, Expenses and Benefits experience in a lean culture and change orientated business;
* Ability to develop active internal and external networks and use these to support delivery of innovative Payroll, Pensions, Expenses and Benefits, operations solutions.
* Experience of project/programme management.
* Experience of SAP HR and Payroll solutions (highly desirable)
* Strong consulting and stakeholder/supplier management skills including the ability to challenge and influence at a senior level. Proven track record of effective stakeholder management and the ability to build strong relationships with customers.
* Demonstrable effective team management skills and experience.
* Experience of managing flexible benefit and salary sacrifice schemes, including preparation for annual enrolment.
Core Performance Level:
In addition to all of the Entry Level requirements the post holder must also be able to demonstrate:
* Detailed understanding and experience of requirements and process for completion of statutory returns eg P11d and PAYE Settlement Agreements
* Detailed understanding and practical experience in use of sizeable payroll and expenses systems.
This position would really appeal to someone who has managed a substantial payroll before (c 11000 people, £22m net a month), with multiple benefits and payment types.
