Our client is looking to appoint a Payroll Manager to lead a team in providing a payroll service to the business and its employees. The ideal Payroll Manager candidate will also be responsible for deputising in the absence of the HR Operations Manager (Payroll) and manage and operate the payroll cycle.

Furthermore the Payroll Manager will manage, develop and coach team members.

The ideal Payroll Manager will have the following Essential Skills and Experience:
*GCSE A-C Maths or English
*Institute of Payroll Professionals (IPP) diploma (or equivalent)
*Extensive experience of supporting a large managed payroll service
*Experience of using integrated HR and Payroll solutions
*Proven analytical skills
*Proficient in customer relationship management
*Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel and Word)
*Experience of implementing projects to time, budget and agreed standards
*Up to date knowledge of employment legislation governing payroll policies and processes
*Experience of working to a legislative framework and within agreed timescales

The ideal Payroll Manager will also have the following Desirable Skills and Experience:
*Experience of managing a team and individuals
*Experience of auditing systems and compliance to process
*Experience of administering corporate benefit schemes
*Experience of administering state and occupational pension schemes
