Payroll Assistant

12 Months Fixed Term Contract

The successful candidate will be an experienced payroll assistant, who has a ' can do', 'hands on' approach to work. You will be responsible for contributing to the monthly payroll operations which pays over 4000 employees.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- One of a team of 4 with overall responsibility for monthly payroll processing, including some manual calculations
- Assisting with Payroll accounting for over 4000 members of staff
- Production of management information and reports, using Excel to an advanced level
- Managing employee queries relating to payroll
- Preparation of Starters
- Maintain and process payroll system reports
- Assist in UAT for new payroll system
- Prioritise and action daily/weekly tasks to meet SLA's

KEY REQUIREMENTS

- Demonstrable previous experience in Payroll within a large organisation
- Good working knowledge of PAYE and other tax legislation (eg National Insurance, P11D etc)
- Experience in using a number of different payroll systems
- Good level of Excel
- General knowledge of Employment law relating to payroll
