Payroll Analyst - 7-Month Contract (may Extend) (59564)

PAYROLL ANALYST

CONTRACT: 7 months (W2) - possible extension

LOCATION: Rockville, MD 20852

JOB NUMBER: 59564

CLIENT: One of the country's largest health care and health plan providers

PAY RATE: $17/hr

STANDARD WORK HOURS: 8:30am - 5 pm, Mon - Fri; no overtime

TOP DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Answer calls from managers about timecards
- Perform historical edits in the time system
- Process Kronos pay adjustments
- Audit reports
- Knowledge around FMLA

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

- High School diploma or GED
- Knowledge of Kronos automated timekeeping system - 2-3 years' recent experience
- Knowledge of Union pay practices - 2-3 years' recent experience
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent Customer Service, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

- Bachelor's Degree
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite, database management, database reporting
- Knowledge and experience of employee and labor relations practices and legal application related to FMLA/LOA, Payroll, Timekeeping, Case Management practices obtained in a complex, multi-union environment
