The role
Thales are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their Payroll team in Crawley on a 6 month fixed term contract.
Reporting into the Head of Payroll Services the principal objectives of the Payroll Administrator is to administer the payroll for customers increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of the service, and ensuring accuracy and timely payments to employees.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities/Tasks for the Payroll Administrator:
Prioritise daily tasks to meet Service Level Agreements (SLA)
Prepare and input data to agreed payroll processes
Ensure all data is completed and verified to meet payroll timetables
Run payrolls to agreed timetable in the SLA
Check payroll output on payroll run prior to sending out to customer
Records payroll statistics for management reporting
Despatch payrolls as per SLA
Escalate any new ideas which add value to the service.
Ensure any problems and queries raised are resolved satisfactorily
Develop and maintain a good customer relationship
Identify and act on issues that would impact on the SLA
Provide help and support to customers with the service as per the SLA
Log errors and complaints on the error log for investigative and corrective action
Own customer issues and escalate for resolution
Skills, experience & qualifications required
Experience of payroll administration
PC Literacy skills in Excel/Word
Good written and oral communication skills
Technical payroll knowledge would be preferred.
