Our client a leader in the Music Industry is currently seeking a Payroll Administrator for a 6 month maternity cover contract.

The Role
Working with the senior Payroll Administrator you will deliver a comprehensive payroll service using PS Enterprise software to varied internal customers across the Alliance. This position will require an experienced Payroll Assistant who can work to deadline pressure on both speed and accuracy. The position is structured to operate with minimum supervision and will report to the Payments Manager.

Key responsibilities:

* Process and monitor all staffing changes including starter, secondments, transfers, leavers and other amendments to salaries and employee data in compliance with policy and payroll requirements.
* The Input, calculation and recording of maternity, paternity and adoption payments both statutory and occupational.
* To reconcile monthly payroll deductions to ensure payment to the appropriate authorities in accordance with their statute terms.
* To reconcile specific monthly payroll control accounts submitting these to the Financial Payments Manager.
* To assist with the preparation and reconciliations of the PAYE Year End Returns.
* Communicating, investigate, problem solving both internal and external customer queries to the highest level via phone, email, mail or in person.

Qualifications and Experience

* Minimum 3 years payroll experience;
* Must be familiar with computed payroll systems, PSE Enterprise is desirable; competent with using both Excel and Word applications.
* Attained the BTEC/IBPM Diploma in Payroll or currently studying towards gaining this qualification.
* Knowledge of PAYE and technical developments in the payroll arena such as SMP, SSP, RTI, auto-enrolement, student loans and other pay related legislation.
* Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
