Our client is seeking, as an urgent requirement, a payroll administrator to join their payroll team in Southampton. As the payroll administrator you will assist the payroll department with day to day tasks, as listed below, and deliver a high level of Customer Service to our clients customers and liaise with key members of staff in a professional manner.
Responsibility for Processing of weekly/monthly payrolls as assigned.
*Efficient Maintenance of employee files.
*Timely/Accurate inputting of payroll related data.
*Accurate updating of staff records via the Company Payroll System
*Efficient Production and maintenance of weekly and monthly reports
*Accurate checking and reconciling of payroll reports before BACS run.
*Efficient transmission of correct BACS File for payments
*Ensuring Statutory & Company Rules are correctly adhered to.
*Accurate Monthly reconciliation for tax, NI and pension contributions.
*Timely Process of Correct Employee Payments.
*Efficient Recording and Monitoring of Employee's Absence, Sickness, Holiday and Unauthorised Absence.
*Calculate and Maintain Statutory and Company Maternity Pay Records.
*Accurate Input of Employee Tax & NIC Details.
*Calculate all Payments accurately and on time. Ensuring strict adherence to all Pay Schedules
*Efficiently answer employee enquiries, maintaining a high level of Customer Care in the process.
*Demonstrate effective communication skills when Liaising with HR and Statutory Bodies.
*Seek to Assist Payroll Manager where required.
*Accurately complete review Statistics on time.
*Any other duties as deemed necessary by the Payroll Managers
Person Specification
Qualification and Experience:
*Administration skills essential
*GCSE in Maths & English
Technical & Specialist knowledge
*Good Microsoft Office IT skills
*Payroll administration skills desirable, but willing to train
*Experience of Resourcelink an advantage
