Payments Technical Analyst - Investment Banking - Connect Direct

Key Essential Skills:

Connect: Direct, Payment Infrastructure, Payments   Application Migration, Solaris, Linux, Windows, storage knowledge,   programming skills, Application and infrastructure consolidation/  rationalisation.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Analysis of the Connect Direct Platform queues to be migrated
- Coordination and scheduling of queue migration with Divisional counterparts
- Coordination and scheduling of batch jobs migration
- Payment's specialist familiar with all aspects of Payment infrastructure including Connect Direct
- Responsible for the successful migration of the Connect Direct platform from its existing location to the new swing platform at the strategic Datacentre

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

- Payments Application Migrations (Connect Direct being a distinct advantage)
- Payment infrastructure (essential)
- Application Migrations
- Understanding of different platforms and OS types (Solaris, Linux, Windows)
- Understanding of different migration options (lift and shift, swing, refresh, virtualisation)
- Application and infrastructure consolidation/rationalisation
- Producing technical documentation and control
- Large scale data centre relocation/migration projects
- Understanding of different storage types incl. SAN, NAS, DAS
- Understanding of different database types (Oracle, SQL, Sybase predominantly)
- Understanding of investment banking external connectivity eg Swift/Bacs
- Appreciation of business criticality and usage of applications in an investment banking environment
- Programming skill including UNIX Shell Scripting and Perl
