Parts Marker/Shipper Expeditor Job

PARTS MARKER/MATERIALS EXPEDITOR is needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in MANCHESTER, CT.

The Big Picture - Top Skills Should You Possess:
- Mark each part according to written instructions that support the customer and company quality assurance standards and specifications.
- Responsible for preparing shipments to customers/suppliers and receives and unloading incoming material.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Provides part identification by etching, manual vibro and dot peen each part with the appropriate identification per customer specifications.
- Contributes to continuous improvement and supports 6S initiatives.
- Visual inspection of product to ensure product quality.
- Create and maintain marking stencil cards and database stencils as required.
- Create and maintain serial number files and databases as required.
- Prepares shipments for conveyance to customers and suppliers.
- Prepares Bills of Lading and verifies accuracy of items being shipped.
- Receives and unloads incoming materials.
- Tracks and logs inventory which is shipped or received.
- Inspects shipments for damages or defects, records discrepancies and notifies supervisor of issues.
- Traces lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments.
- Assists in performing routine maintenance of equipment.
- Prepares UPS shipments using UPS WorldShip via Internet.
- Assists with packing of export shipments while ensuring all proper documentation is sent along with the shipment.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Three to five (3-5) years of related manufacturing experience with a focus on detailed and precision work.
- Effectively reads and understands blueprints, engineering documents, inspection manuals and procedures.
- Proficient with geometric dimensions and tolerances.
- Proficient in the operation of all equipment processes in the marking area.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office, PC Windows.
- Aerospace industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Working ability to operate office equipment.
- Considerable knowledge of safety practices
- This is a six (6) month contract.
