Part Time Youth Support Worker

ANNUAL SALARY £14,143 - £17,100 (PRO RATA)

PART TIME - 3 HOURS PER WEEK PLUS 4 HOURS SUPERVISION PER ANNUM

FIXED TERM CONTRACT UNTIL 31/03/2014

EXACT SESSIONS AND TIMES TO BE CONFIRMED BUT THEY ARE LIKELY TO BE AFTERNOON OR EVENING SHIFTS.

The role will require working as part of a team to deliver targeted youth work sessions to the Young Carers Group.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Qualified at level 2 or above in a JNC recognised Youth Work Qualification or be prepared to undertake training
- Good level of numeracy and literacy
- Experience of working with young people which may be in a voluntary role
- Ability to build relationships and relate well to young people
- Ability to motivate young people and facilitate young people's learning
- Commitment to challenging prejudice and ignorance
- Ability to develop work with young people to achieve planned outcomes
- Ability to work as part of a team
