We are seeking a Part Time Income Officer to join our Newbury team on an initial 12 month fixed term contract. You will take responsibility for effectively implementing our debt recovery policies and will work with tenants, liaising by telephone, letter and home visits, to minimise rent debts. You will encourage debt awareness and help tenants to access welfare advice to encourage the take-up of welfare benefits. You will also instigate legal proceedings and appear in Court on behalf of Sovereign when required.

You will need experience in credit control/debt recovery (preferably in a social housing environment but not essential), and will have excellent communication and negotiation skills. A working knowledge of welfare benefits is desirable, but again not essential. You will demonstrate initiative, flexibility and good IT skills to excel within this role and forge a rewarding career with Sovereign.

Hours: 22 hours per week Wed, Thu, Fri

Due to the travel requirements of this role a full current driving licence and access to a car is essential.
