Job Summary:

Under the general direction of the EASE Clinical Supervisor, conducts EAP client assessments and provides the necessary resources to help initiate resolutions.  Provides one-on-one EAP specific counseling to EASE clients as necessary. Works with providers, clients, community programs and internal staff. Facilitates Critical Incident Stress Management as requested. Liaison and case manager for company mandated employees.

LOCATION: 520 S Main, Akron OH

HOURS: Flexible. Up to 4 appointments from 3-6pm one day a week on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evening.  The EAP Clinical Specialist may also be needed for appointments on Saturday mornings.

HOURLY RATE: $30-$35

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

- Provides individual EASE/EAP specific counseling sessions for mandated and non-mandated employees (including DOT mandated).
- Coordinates referrals of client, as needed, including client request/nature of the problem to counselor availability and geographic needs
- Works cooperatively with the EASE Clinical Supervisor to monitor management referrals.  Prepares reports for employers making management referrals.
- Case management of mandated clients including liaison between company and providers. 
- Provides crises intervention services including guidance, direction and resource referral.  Arranges emergency appointments, as needed.
- Provides assessment services including: answering EASE telephone calls for clients, explaining service contract and assessing needs or requests.
- Provides Drug Free Workplace trainings and other clinical topics as requested.
- Attends clinical workshops in order to enhance professional knowledge.
- Performs CISM services as needed. 
- Completes other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

·          Must have a Masters Degree in social work or a related field and three years direct practice experience, including independent licensure (LPCC, LISW or equivalent).

·          Must have Chemical Dependency experience and obtain SAP qualifications.

·          EAP experience outside of a private practice and familiarity with organizational cultures is highly preferred.

·          Must have demonstrated skills in assessment based counseling, forming clinically appropriate relationships with clients and engaging clients in the mutual assessment of problems either by telephone or personal interviews.

·          Must have good oral and written communication skills, ability to make sound decisions under stressful conditions and an ability to organize and prioritize tasks.

·          Must have ability to work cooperatively as a team member.

·          Must have willingness to gain skills in CISM service delivery, as well as DFWP training.

·          Must have an awareness of and sensitivity to the cultural diversity of the population served.
