PARS Administrator

This role is focused on the delivery of the PARS service, a service for the tape-based archival and retrieval of subsurface data utilizing Interica's PARS product. Some of the specific duties include input of PARS jobs into the system, monitoring of jobs, customer engagement around the jobs and service, break-fix of the environment, deployments/upgrades, and other related duties as needed/determined.

Technical Skills and Experience:
MANDATORY:
.Candidate must have a technical IT background in infrastructure service delivery in Linux and Storage.
.Good understanding of Linux platforms including Scripting, commands and file systems.
.Experience interfacing with customers, end-users, service providers and vendors to develop and maintain effective relationships.
.Must possess excellent interpersonal skills as well as a good command of the English Language both verbal and written.
.ITIL IT management processes (ability to operate stringent Change, Incident, Problem, Request, Asset Management and Release Management regimes)

PREFERRED:
.Working knowledge of Quantum Scalar I80 and/or I500 Tape libraries or Backup systems.
.Experience with Landmark's R5000 suite and/or sub-surface Data Management background a plus.
.Oracle and/or SQL Plus
.Preferred expertise working Projects, contributing technically and/or managing small (technical) deliverables.
.Candidates should be aware of application delivery and associated workflows preferably in a Storage and/or Data-management environment.

Special Remarks:
.Part of a global team based in several locations
.As part of a global team the incumbent will need to be flexible to work outside of standard office hours. Will need to be available to join virtual teleconferences and meetings outside normal business hours if necessary.
