- Have a genuinely keen interest in, and depth of understanding of, contractual drafting, structure and legal framework issues.
- Ability to absorb technical information quickly and apply the information effectively in practice.
- A proven track-record of depth of technical understanding and effective negotiation of trading documentation, ideally including as many of the following (and their various associated annexes) as possible: ISDA Master Agreement, GTMA, NBP, Beach, ZBT, EFET Power, EFET Gas, IETA, EFET CPMA, EFET MNA, ISDA CSA, gas/power/emissions structured bespoke agreements.
- A sound working knowledge (ideally gained from having been in the role) of the end-to-end confirmations process involved with physical gas, power and emissions, and financial derivatives.
- A sound working knowledge of the 2005 ISDA Commodity Definitions, including the subsequently published annexes to the Definitions/Master Agreements relating to European gas, power and emissions.

This needs combining with a positive attitude and an ability to work within a large, globally dispersed project team in a multi-cultural environment. You also need to be a self-starter, a logical thinker and a quick learner, with strong initiative and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to write clearly and concisely.
