Paintshop / Bodyshop Apprentice:

This is a unique opportunity for a passionate and eager-to-learn individual to start their apprenticeship career in vehicle paint and body repair.

The successful Apprentice will work in our Paintshop department, which repair and refurbish 18,000 vehicles a year! This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and skills on vehicle body repairs through on the job training with a dedicated mentor. Cargiant is the world's largest car dealership with 7000 vehicles in stock and retail sales of over 1000 cars per week! It's taken 30 years of planning to assemble the 45 acre site that serves our current business and future expansion plans. The role:

-Prepare and mask up vehicles including alloys
-Strip small parts from vehicles when required
-Minimise dents and scratches
-Blow in and reseal panels and alloys using smart repair techniques
-Flat and polish including non-painted vehicles when required
-Take and collect vehicles from other departments when required
-Colour check and paint mix
-Ensure professional standards of workmanship
-Ensure all work is carried out within Health & Safety guidelines

Essential competencies:

-NVQ Level 2 qualification in Paintshop
-Full and valid driving license
-Excellent communication skills
-Self-motivation and ability to learn new skills
-Ability to work on own initiative
