PACKET SWITCHED NETWORK ENGINEER - PS CORE - SGSN GGSN PCRF MSP DNS
Bucharest - Hourly Rate depending on experience
6 month contract initially - Start End of July/Start of August
DESCRIPTION
- Planning implementation activities reserving resources, conforming to Low Level Designs within the framework of existing processes and procedures, to ensure the activities can be done within the agreed planning
- Testing changes in the customer test center before executing changes in the live network
- Build, configure, optimize, test and accept new network elements, conforming to designs and change management procedures, to implement and activate new network infrastructure with a minimum of disruption of the availability of the service
- Actively maintain and develop knowledge of the competence area, in order to be able to perform the activities with a sufficient knowledge level
- Advise, deliver input for year plans, recommend technical improvements to Technical Managers, Project Managers and Service Delivery Managers, in order to contribute to the optimization of the networks
- Prepare changes following the local change regime in the live network of the operators and execute then after customer approval
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Engineering (Computer Science or equivalent experience) or combination of related education and experience.
- Good understanding of operator business drivers and technologies in the packet switch network area.
- Working knowledge of SGSN equipment; Ericsson SGSN proven experience is a plus.
- Working knowledge of GGSN equipment; Cisco or Starent GGSN proven experience is a plus.
- Working knowledge of PCRF equipment; Openet of Ericsson PCRF experience is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of MSP equipment and DNS Servers, vendor agnostic.
-5+ YEARS EXPERIENCE IN PS CORE.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with teams from different locations
- Organized and disciplined: works according to processes and procedures

- Should be flexible to work in 24x7 mode when needed
- Customer consulting skills, able to advise in a convincing way, verbally as well as on paper
