Packet Switch Core Network Engineer
Connect44 is seekingPacket Switch Core Network Engineers with a substantial knowledge of IP Networking for mainstream telecommunication equipment suppliers. Selected candidates will support major Switzerland mobile communication carriers. The position is based in The Zurich, Switzerland.
Primary function is to apply substantial knowledge of HSS in packet switch core network in an EPC/LTE environment. The engineer will provide technical support to the customers with flexible work time.
A great deal of customer interaction is expected. This is a regular, Full time opportunity, well suited for a qualified, mobility Evolved Packet Switched Core engineer. Preferably, the candidate can work in the English environment and German is a plus.
EDUCATION: The typical successful candidate will havea BS EE, BS CS or similar, with emphasis in telecommunications and equivalent level of thinking.
CERTIFICATIONS:
- Packet Switch Core Network (main for HSS) with 5+ year's experience
- Extremely strong HLR/and R&S skills, without certification, may be considered
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- GPRS/WCDMA/4G network Knowledge and excellent HSS product knowledge
- Experience as a packet switched core network engineer with a carrier or other service provider is a strong plus
- HSS integration and deployment experience with Ericsson, Huawei etc.
- Troubleshooting expertise as a field engineer, TAC Support Engineer
- Relevant job experience with a Telecom Carrier or Service Provider support organization
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess a rock-solid command of Packet Switched Core Networking protocols
- Must demonstrate proficiency with theory and application of Either of Diameter, Radius, MAP and SIGTRAN.
- Must possess m ore than 2 year experience in MME/HSS/commissioning, configuration, Acceptance testing and troubleshooting.
- Ability to manage & report KPIs & Solve the KPI degradation, handle CSR of HSS in Packet Core, suggest optimization methods.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with certain work pressure.

- A service oriented personality, with a strong drive towards customer satisfaction.
