PACKET CORE DATA ENGINEER

6 MONTH INITIAL CONTRACT

MAASTRICHT, NETHERLANDS

I am currently recruiting for a Packet Core Data Engineer on behalf of a leading Mobile Telecoms company based in Maastricht. This will be an initial 6 month contract paying competitive daily rates (Euros).

You will be working within a busy Service Delivery Unit (Network Design & Integration) and the Core team will be responsible for executing voice and data related activities, including network integration, configuration, testing and delivery of new 4G, 3G and 3G services for customers.

This position will require up to 50k travel per day to test site (30% desk job, 70% test site).

REQUIREMENTS:

- Solid experience working in Packet Core Data area
- Substantial experience working within Mobile Telecoms
- Thorough understanding of packet core area (including signalling protocols, GGSN/SGW/PGW/SGSN-MME, PCRF, EPDG, MSP, DNS, and message flows)
- Thorough understanding of IP and IP protocols (BGP, MPLS etc)
- Basic understanding of vitalisation of Packet Core network nodes (VMWare 6 knowledge/experience is required)
- Thorough understanding of VoLTE E2E networks and call flows (in relation to packet core)
- Ability to translate designs (high and low level) into configurations of various Packet Core network nodes
- Experience of testing of new/changed functionality in lab environment (capturing, reading, analysing traces)
- Experience with products of vendors - Ericsson, Cisco, CitrixByteMobile, Openet
