Packaging Sourcing Specialist

For one of its clients, located in Walloon Brabant, Harvey Nash is currently looking for a

SOURCING MANAGER - PRIMARY PACKAGING

Duration: 6 months

Location: Wavre

Scope of work:
* Development of a mid- to long-term vision/strategy on the purchasing categories to optimize the value, support technology evolutions, and align supplier's capabilities with quality and volume requirements.
* Development of market knowledge on the purchasing category.
* Management of the supply base and development of Supplier Relationships to meet business requirements: assurance of supply, quality, regulatory, service, cost, and innovation.
* Drive internal alignement
* Lead the Procurement activities for the "Primary Packaging" portfolio (except syringes) -a highly sensitive purchasing category that has strong implications on final products.
* Further develop the current Sourcing strategy on the portfolio, eg
o Identify and develop levers to reduce the total cost, improve working capital, generate added value,
o Consolidate the supply base,
o Ensure business continuity through a suitable Risk Management Plan,
o Plan emergency sourcing for pandemic situations,
o Introduce new suppliers to challenge the current base,
* Drive alignment at global level with all departments (Quality, Engineering, Business Units, Provisioning, New Products Introduction, ).
* Drive the relationship with suppliers to ensure their strategic alignment
* Develop Market knowledge to leverage all added value opportunities
* Lead and motivate a global network of sourcing buyers for the development and implementation of harmonized sourcing strategies
* Ensure a key role as Business Partner by aligning procurement strategies with business objectives/requirements.
* Lead the yearly Supplier Performance Evaluations.
* Support the introduction of new products through global network.
* Develop Sourcing & Procurement best practices in the portfolio.

Requirements:
* Master level in economics or Business management, or industrial management
* Preferably, Specialized Master in Procurement or MBA or equivalent
* Leadership Behaviors & Change Management
* Negotiation & Communication Skills
* Finance (cost benchmark & financial audit with key supplier) and Legal matters (contracting)
* Sourcing Strategy & Implementation. Creative, conceptual thinker, capable of identifying novel solutions.
* Procurement benchmark with other industries
* Industry Acumen and Analysis
* Project alternatively experience in any highly regulated environment.
