Packaging Operator

DESCRIPTION:

- Performs low level programming and reprogramming of automated manufacturing systems.
- Controls and adjusts systems under normal and emergency situations.
- Monitors the quality and quantity of the systems output.
- May be handling hazardous, reactive and flammable materials/chemicals.
- Execute manufacturing operations such as: weighing, granulation, compression, capsules filling and other manufacturing operations in a manufacturing environment.
- Weighing and storage of packages; inspection of capsules, tablets and labels; cleaning modules, parts and facilities; assembly and run machinery inspection, filling capsules, compression of tablets, GITS and printers; responsible for the cleaning of the dust collectors; weighting of materials; data entry to the inventory system of the plant.
- De-corrugate material shipped from suppliers. Assist with all types of communication as required.
- Must stay within GMP compliance at all times.

SKILLS:

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Lifting 20 - 50 pounds
- Walking/Bending/Sitting
- Experience operating machinery and executing manufacturing operations in a manufacturing setting required.
- Must be familiar with general safety procedure and guidelines. Must be self motivated and have a strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills required.
