Packaging Line Handler Job

PACKAGING MACHINE OPERATOR needed for a LONG TERM CONTRACT position with Yoh's client located in MELVILLE, NY.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Able to perform various filling and packaging operations
- Able to work 7:00 am - 3:40 pm plus overtime

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Perform various filling and packaging operations.
- Tends machines that perform one or more packaging functions, such as filling, labeling, packing or bundling.
- Positions components on machines and monitors operations to detect malfunctions. Inspects filled container or package to ensure product is according to specifications.
- Clears line of substandard product and documents all rejects discarded.
- Prepares shippers, inspects finished product and packages into shipper.
- Seal, label and stack shipper. Performs cleaning tasks on machine during or after machine operation.
- Cleans work area.
- Moves materials into and out of production area using a pallet jack.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Manufacturing production experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Solid English reading and writing skills.
- Able to lift 50lbs.
