Packaging Engineer

A global pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation is urgently looking for a Packaging Engineer to support a process transfer project incorporating new equipment.

Location: Basel area, Switzerland

Duration: 12 months

Role and responsibilities:
Vendor liaison with occasional travel to other European sites and vendor offices
Detailed design of line layout and installation schedules.
Review the current URS and FRS for a blister packaging line and update/re-write these to ensure that the users' functional and technical requirements are met
Support generation of design layouts and other technical documents
Manager vendor negotiations and schedules
Coordinate the installation of the packaging equipment together with the project's Construction Manager
Lead the execution of commissioning and qualification tests
Support the user team during the execution of OQ/PQ protocols and ensure smooth handover

Requirements:
Degree educated in Mechanical/Process/Pharmaceutical Engineering or equivalent
Fluent in German and English language
Experience in the design and execution of pharmaceutical engineering projects
Knowledge of and experience working with packaging processes and equipment
