Packaging Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Works with the local manufacturing sites on developing new structures as well as implementing structural changes and improvements for primary and secondary components.
- Leads or participates on project teams to meet deadlines for new product submissions, existing product updates, and process improvement activities.
- Supports packaging equipment selection and validation.
- Develops technical support documents and may address deviations that occur during manufacturing operations.

SKILLS

Must have a degree in Packaging Engineering; previous experience in Packaging Engineering is highly desired. Lean manufacturing knowledge is highly desired. Must have strong technical capabilities. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Previous experience using CAD is desirable. Experience using TOPS or other Load Plan systems desirable. The ability to work both independently and in team settings is required. Ability to learn new systems quickly is a must. Several systems that will be used include: MAPs, PacOne, Excel, Share Point, Outlook, Word, MS Project, Powerpoint, and others. Skills in Excel, Project, Outlook, and PowerPoint desired.
