Packaging Engineer

A leader in innovative products and complete solutions in the healthcare industry is currently seeking a Packaging Innovation Engineer to evaluate new and existing technologies for application to packaging products and the medical device packaging industry in the Norwood, MA area. This is a 4 month CONTRACT position, with the possibility of extension. Local candidates only. No per diem is available for this assignment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Take projects from concept to production. Develop CAD designs, specifications, and construct prototypes
- Originate, investigate and implement improvements to product manufacturing and product-related equipment for the purpose of increased production, reduced product cost, and improved quality
- Investigate, develop and implement cost improvements in material usage, operating practices, and equipment utilization

REQUIREMENTS

- BSME or BSMET degree
- 7+ years experience. Tool Design experience preferred
- Deep knowledge of all print processes and materials for the consumer retail market is a major plus
- 3D Modeling and Cad experience a plus
