THE TEAM

Market Operations produce and administrate all betting related content for the Betfair betting exchange.
The department looks after the administration of over 12,000 betting markets in a given week (many of them live') which generate over 100 million pounds of betting volume, covering 50 different sports in 120 different countries.

ROLE SUMMARY

The monitoring and settling of overnight betting markets make up the key component of this role. A keen attention to detail coupled with a passion for sport and a desire to produce accurate, professional work makes the backbone of working for Market Operations. Overnight shift work varying in length and day is standard.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Collate and enter data for the publication of all betting related content
- Check and update published betting markets
- Manage the live administration of active markets
- Monitor live fixed odds prices and escalate any anomalies to Trading
- Collate and enter data for settlement of all markets
- Escalate market issues appropriately
- Source accurate feeds and information for all betting related content
- Deal effectively with customer queries
- Assist other teams across the department when required
- Understand and demonstrate behaviour in alignment with the Betfair Behaviours, setting a positive example for others
