Participate in regular clinical supervision and other professional development activities in line with Local Health Area performance development review processes. Maintain professional knowledge and skills, and attend all required in-service programmes to ensure a high standard of client outcomes and evidence based service provision. Participate in quality activities relating to Occupational Therapy, the ACT, and the Local Health Service such as EQuIP and the Numerical Profile. Participate in and encourage community involvement in the promotion of health and well being, on an individual and group basis utilising a multidisciplinary framework. Act in accordance with professional and organisational standards established by Occupational Therapy Australia/NSW, NSW Health, Local Health District and other relevant bodies. Be aware of and comply with Local Health Service Fire, Disaster, Security and other emergency procedures and local protocols. Comply with Local Health District and NSW Health policies and guidelines and local protocols in respect to occupational Health and Safety, Infection Control, EEO, Code of Conduct, Confidentiality and Ethics. Adhere to and promote OH&S requirements for staff, students, clients and Health Service visitors. Maintain resources and access equipment necessary for the provision of an Occupational Therapy Service.

Major challenges for the Occupational Therapist Level 3 include:
Balance time-management between direct patient activities and non-patient activities such as statistics, quality projects, professional development and self-directed learning. Prioritisation of busy clinical workload to best apply OT resources appropriately.

Developing and maintaining good interdisciplinary teamwork.
Developing and maintaining good communication lines with immediate managers, work colleagues, service providers, and Area OTs.
