OT/Physiotherapist

Pertemps are currently recruiting for an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join their Public Sector client based in Fife.

This is a temporary contract, starting ASAP for approximately 4 - 6 weeks

Rate of pay will be around £20 p/h (depending on experience) and normal hours of work will be 9am - 5pm for two or three days per week (there is some flexibility here).

The successful candidate will be based in Glenrothes, but must be able to travel throughout Fife, so it would be preferable for the candidate to have their own transport. The candidate will be helping the client administer the Blue Badge Scheme on behalf of the Scottish Government.

Duties will include:
- Assess applications for the Blue Badge Scheme to determine whether the qualifying criteria has been met
- In line with legislation, undertake the assessments/reviews for those who meet the criteria
- Working with the Administration Team to ensure all documentation is accurately held, attending meetings etc

All applicants MUST have:
- Relevant professional qualification (eg Diploma/BSC/BSc Hons in Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy or other professional qualification in assessing mobility)
- A PVG certificate, which Pertemps will update for the successful applicant
- Be registered with HPC
- Previous experience of working with people with disabilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent time management skills and an ability to manage their own time effectively and a flexible approach to work
- A full UK driving licence
