ORGANIC CHEMIST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in NEWARK, DE

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Experienced researcher or analyst performing technical, scientific, or information assignments interdependently.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Chemist with lab experience in organic chemistry.
- Synthesis of chemicals and lab preps using 5, 10, 20 and 30 liter glass reaction vessels.
- Operations of standard lab equipment.
- Knowledgeable in set up and operation of standard glassware with little or no supervision.
- Responsible for the synthesis of useful intermediates.
- Remain conversant with the modern chemical literature and to maintain a strong laboratory presence.
- Working in a lab with multiple hoods and preps.
- Safety, observations and problem solving are key factors.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- A minimum of a B.Sc. with three to five (3-5) years experience or M.Sc. or higher degree in chemistry with experience in methodology/catalysis, total synthesis, or physical/organic chemistry is required.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Chemistry with a minimum of three to five (3-5) years of relevant experience, preferably including experience within an academic laboratory or the pharmaceutical/biotech industry is a plus.
