Organic Chemist Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for an ORGANIC CHEMIST to join our client in San Diego, CA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- The successful candidate will participate in projects focused on developing processes to pharmaceutical drug candidates.
- Require primarily bench level research and development in the area of synthetic organic chemistry.
- Keep a well-organized notebook as well as communicate results effectively to colleagues and management.
- Regular written communication via experimental protocols, reports and standard operating procedures to document all research activities

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- BS/MS in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or related field.
- Five to Ten years of experience preferred.
- Experience employing analytical techniques such as NMR, HPLC, MS, GC, KF, Polarimetry, Melting Point, TLC, Chiral HPLC to solve multivariable chemistry problems.
- Experience with SciFinder, ChemDraw, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Word as well as strong organizational skills.
