Interim Process Engineer Manager FMCG

The Global Consumer Healthcare arm of this FMCG business requires a pragmatic and commercial manufacturing/Process engineer/manager to join their Global Manufacturing and Supply Division, and to work closely with the capital projects teams

The role will serve as the technical lead for process development and continuous improvement activities across a portfolio of consumer FMCG and healthcare products including oral care, creams, skincare and beauty.

The process engineer will be expected to use best industry practices to implement procedural and process improvements, but working in collaboration with multi-functional teams across the Global Manufacturing Supply network

- Experience in process development, experimental design/statistical analysis, process optimization and scale-up.
- Experience with new product introduction, technology transfer and validation.
- Demonstrated track record of success leading multiple projects simultaneously with little to no direction.
- Experience using coaching/mentoring techniques and interpersonal communication skills in working with a diverse population at all levels of the company (shop floor to global corporate partners)

Preferred qualifications:

- Continuous improvement background with knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma/OE tools and techniques
- Familiar with quality by design (QbD) principles and process analytical technology, SKU codes and the variations in year on year volumes
- Working knowledge of various manufacturing processes and unit operations involving packaging blow moulding, continuous production lines, secondary packaging, dry powder blending, wet granulation, powder weighing and dispensing, and drying, formers and fillers etc would be advantageous
