ORACLE WEBLOGIC/JBOSS SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
Huntress Group are looking for a Oracle Weblogic/Jboss System Administrator for each server component (WebLogic and JBoss) who are experts and thought leaders to come in and do a complete evaluation of our environments. They may also suggest other areas of consideration that have not been outlined below. Based on their findings, they will suggest that there be some performance tuning of the Servers until they reach an optimal performance.
The following key considerations are what we need to focus on when doing an environment assessment:
Environments: Pre-Prod and Production
Assessment of the WebLogic server to make sure that it is performing as a production-grade environment for our BPM component:
- Work managers, node managers
- Clustering, load-balancing, high-availability, etc
- Java memory including heap size and garbage collection
- JMS configuration - focus on persistence, throttling, error handling
- Configuration of database connection resources
- Server logs to identify areas of concern in terms for log volume or messages
- Security, transaction settings, threads, protocol configuration
- Software, COTS versions across all environments are aligned
Assessment of the JBoss Servers for JBS and UI - Perform a detailed assessment of all the JBoss Servers and nodes using key considerations such as the above WebLogic ones.
