For our client in Zurich we are looking for Oracle System Engineer
OVERVIEW OF BUSINESS AREA OR PROJECT:
Be part of the Solution Architect/Software Engineering team in FR CH IT where the main client is Financial Accounting CH. In this role you work closely together with the business analysts/requirements engineers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the GLASS tool (General Ledger Account Sign-off System) which include not only the maintenance and implementation of new changes but also the third level support of this application.
The GLASS tool secures the process of ownership of individual balance sheet accounts with the specific objective of ensuring responsibility, accountability, and accuracy of these accounts.
Design new processes including interfaces and modelling of data. Implementation has to be done according to the internal processes defined for DWH standard platform.
You are going to work in an international team of very senior employees from Switzerland, Germany, England and India.
CHALLENGES YOU WILL BE FACING IN THIS ROLE:
- An interesting role as an Oracle/Java developer within the Group Finance IT department
- Possibility to analyze, develop, document and support IT solutions applications in the area of Basel III compliance (Large Exposure Reporting, Risk Weighted Asset calculation, Masking applications, etc)
-Opportunity to contribute to the success of business deliveries in answering and solving queries on potential data quality issues and analysing the detailed flow of data through the systems
-Exposure and collaboration with business counterparties, business analysts, requirement engineers, project managers and other project stakeholders
-Internal trainings opportunities (online, classroom) on IT and Business topics as well as personal development linked to your activity
ESSENTIALS SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Several years of design and development experience in Oracle based DWH/Datamarts
- Strong development skills in Oracle 11g, SQL and PL/SQL
- Strong knowledge in Datawarehousing concept
- Strong Knowledge of ETL processes, DWH job controls and workflow optimization (Informatica Power Center 8.6)
- Team player and ability to work in international and a heterogeneous team
- be structured and elaborate
- Ability to understand business requirements and to transform them into State-of-the-Art Data Mart solutions
- Experience with quality management tools, change management tools and versioning
- English (written and verbally)
DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Financial Accounting experience
- Experience with reporting tools (OBIEE)
- German speaking is a big plus
