Oracle R12 Financials Architect

A top tier organisation making waves within the Australian Market, are now expanding their IT team, to almost the largest force in the southern hemisphere. This consultancy has a vacancy for an Oracle Financials R12 Architect to join their client site in Sydney CBD. You will be responsible for analysing complex high level business requirements and translating these into specific technology requirements, and/or within a packaged environment, applying the configuration based on these requirements to enable the design of larger technology solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Act as a Senior Solution Architect for new implementations and ongoing enhancements (Oracle E-business Suite (Primarily for GL, AP and FA)
- Delivering end to end solutions for implementation by the project teams.
- Partnering with Finance/Accounting to focus on business process improvements & re-engineering.
- Gap analysis between the Financials Suite and client business requirements:
- Working with architecture and operations departments to ensure that financial applications are in compliance with company standards, are operating at a high level of availability.
- Ensuring that designs meet both internal and external audit and regulatory requirements
- Maintaining 'up to date' functional and technical knowledge and expertise in assigned areas of responsibility.
- Applying functional and technology solutions to business needs and requirements.
- Developing functional and technical skills to span multiple "systems" or "platforms".

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

- 6-7 years experience in Oracle E-business Financial Suite
- Experience in R12
- Technical and Functional background
- Understanding of the Oracle toolsets, methodology and technology.
- Experience in team management, including coaching and mentoring
- Experience in the financial services industry desirable
