Oracle Programmer/DBA

If you're an Oracle DBA with some programming and Datawarehouse experience, and have experience with 11.2, then check this out. Our Raleigh, NC client is in the midst of digesting diverse acquisition architectures and databases, and has an immediate 6+ month contract, which will likely renew...there's so much work to do.

One of their primary projects is to grow their Datawarehouse amidst ongoing database integrations. Their offshore team handles the level 1 & 2 installs and support. Your role will be 60% new work, and 40% database operations support, creating builds, working with integration developers, and ensuring consistency in the DW growth.

The appeal of this role is four-fold:

- Opportunity for significant technical growth in a diverse integration environment (eg, Oracle 11.2).
- Exposure to massive change/upgrades in the data storage environment (SAN, NAS, Appliances, M-Series storage, etc.)
- Significant DW growth within the enterprise.
- Application upgrades and dashboard content/performance upgrades.

The enterprise has over 10 DBAs in North America, but your Raleigh team will be you, 2 peers (Oracle and DB2), and the DBA Manager. There is a rotating on-call requirement, but no travel. Business-casual environment and a Raleigh location convenient to 440.
