Oracle Pl/SQL Developer Job

SENIOR ORACLE PL/SQL DEVELOPER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's HEALTH CARE CLIENT located in San Diego, CA.

THE BIG PICTURE:

- Our client has an outstanding opportunity for you to bring your Oracle Development skills to an experienced team and develop an ORACLE BASED DATA WAREHOUSE. The team is in need of a PL/SQL developer who will be a MEMBER OF THE ETL TEAM. This individual must have strong PL/SQL skills and will develop procedures to extract, transform and load data from feeder systems into staging and data warehouse tables

TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Oracle PL/SQL development skills
- Informatica Mapping skills
- Shell Scripting

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Develop ORACLE PL/SQL OR SQL QUERIES, STORED PROCEDURES, PACKAGES, SCRIPTS, TRIGGERS, AND OTHER ORACLE OBJECTS.
- QC DBA scripts/refreshes.
- Automate queries into stored procedures or packages.
- DEVELOP SHELL SCRIPTS WITH PARAMETERS TO EXECUTE ORACLE PACKAGES.
- INFORMATICA ETL DATA WAREHOUSE SIDE: Create Informatica mappings and work flows to create extracts or import or translate data.
- Design, code, test and implement solutions using Oracle PL/SQL
- Tune SQL and PL/SQL code, database packages and procedures
- Identify application performance areas and recommend tuning of application code as necessary
- DATA MODELLING AND OPTIMIZATION
- Assist in establishing a framework to support future development initiatives.
- Perform enterprise-wide data modelling and logical database design

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in an Oracle Development role using PL/SQL to develop stored procedure to manage data flows and external data distribution interfaces
- Experience using source control tools to manage code between parallel releases
- Knowledge and experience with a formal software development life cycle
- Knowledge of Oracle query performance analysis and tuning
- Experience with partitioned tables, DB stats, PL/SQL object types
- Experience with Oracle 11g preferred
