PL/SQL DEVELOPER

As PL/SQL Developer you are responsible for the successful delivery of software development projects and production development support.  You will participate in software design and solutions, driving our systems forward while taking on various responsibilities in the team to deliver a high quality managed service solution to our clients. Maintenance of already developed applications could also be part of your role.  At CGI you are about to enter in an environment of innovative IT projects.

The PL/SQL Developer driven and you have a strong analytic ability with a self-starter attitude and the drive for success.

Role:

- Development of our core Energy Retailing System software system and its various components
- Work closely with architects and designers to deliver high quality software
- Analyse application problems, recommend and develop solutions
- Produce and maintain program code and documentation
- Perform system testing with internal clients
- Conduct peer reviews with other software developers and architects
- Provide support during various phases of testing as well as production support
- Prepare Operations instructions for the execution of various software systems
- Participate in development stand ups and software demonstrations
- Review requirements with the users and provides time estimates for task completion
- Various other development and supporting tasks
- You are real team player, obviously a flexible and pragmatic attitude is your second nature.

Profile:

- Experience with Oracle Relational Database 10G and 11G
- Strong PL/SQL Developer skills. Ability to write efficient, complex queries against very large data sets using SQL Developer and TOAD
- A good understanding of XML and related technology
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working in an Oracle environment
- Ability to model, analyse and manage large volumes of data
