BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE (BI) ANALYST (TECHNICAL)
THE ROLE:
The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following:
- Lead/participate in requirements gathering workshops with senior leadership team, business units and functional departments. Partner with business users to define and develop analytics & reporting solutions that meet business needs.
- Identify, evaluate and design Management Reports to meet business users requirements - Document functional designs, develop reports using appropriate tools (eg OBIA, BI Publisher, OLAP and FSG) and agree appropriate delivery mechanism.
- Develop dashboards with drill-down capability to report Corporate Metrics and create new dashboards to meet management and operational requirements.
- Prepare and execute unit & integration testing plans to ensure high quality results as required.
- Ensure reports and processes are scalable, flexible, and within governed parameters (security, enterprise standards) to meet future business needs.
- Generate standard or custom reports for review by executives, finance partners, managers and other stakeholders in a timely manner - Monitor implemented reports, analytical solutions and processes to ensure high performance.
- Provide BI training to users and support to business users with self service BI.
- Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of own, and the wider team's objectives.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge and attributes:
- Degree in Finance, Computer Science or mathematics a requirement.
- 5+ years of experience in relevant discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills essential.
- Ability to balance between data needs and requirements for action.
- Experienced at developing BI solutions and multidimensional Datamodelling.
- SQL skills and OBIEE/OBIA experience an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Team player with ability to work on their own initiative.
- Be flexible and prepared to work in any required areas.
- Proficiency in the English language is a requirement.
- A "can do" work ethic with excellent problem solving skills.
