Oracle Messaging Server Consultant

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The project plan is to consolidate x10 old MTA Servers to x3 new MTA Servers. The MTA Servers run Oracle Messaging'.. There will be x10 Servers removed from the baseline and x3 new Servers added to the baseline. The Oracle Messaging expert will be working with a local resource who will work with and learn from the expert and support the service after the consolidation.

Oracle Messaging running on Sun Solaris Servers

PROJECT TASKS:
- Assist in the design of the target Messaging Server system
- Specify and document target Messaging server configuration
- Install and configure new Messaging Server software and configure
- Document migration method and assist in planning support for migration to new Messaging Server
- Perform skills transfer to onsite support personnel during the course of the migration
- Perform the migration
- Assist in testing and troubleshooting following migration.

MANDATORY EXPERIENCE
- Oracle Messaging Server version 7 and version 6
- Oracle Directory server
- Oracle Messaging Server installs and migrations and customisation
- Solaris
- Email technologies (POP/IMAP/Webmail/SMTP)
- Telecommunications industry experience

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
- Excellent documentation skills
- Excellent knowledge transfer skills
