ORACLE HR FUNCTIONAL CONSULTANT

ESSEX/LONDON

BACKGROUND

The role is for an Oracle HR functional consultant.

The Oracle system consists of Financials - G/L; A/P; A/R; procurement and i-supplier and HR - including ESS/MSS and payroll plus OPM and OLM modules. The HR modules have been live for about 1 year and the system is being supported by a small in-house team.

There is an intention to implement OBIEE reporting across HR and Finance

The role we are looking for is not yet fully defined and we are looking for someone with the flexibility to take on different aspects as we move forward.

The key tasks envisaged are:

- Provision of functional support to the business and technical staff to ensure the effective usage of the Oracle HR and payroll modules
- Work with the Finance functional consultant to develop and conduct a series of 'health checks' to identify and implement remedial actions across the HR and related implementation as a basis for ensuring that data is of a sufficient quality to support the introduction of OBIEE
- Manage the resolution of faults and service/change requests, including the identification and agreement of solutions which may include business process change/work-arounds as well as technology based solutions
- Support the implementation of OBIEE across the organisation

PERSON DEFINITION

MANDATORY

An Oracle HR/Payroll functional consultant with at least 3 years experience of R12 environment

The ability to work on own initiative, as part of a small team, in both hands-on and advisory roles

Strong interpersonal, communication and client-facing skills, which demonstrates confidence and fosters a "Trusted Advisor" relationship with clients/stakeholders and ability to operate alongside the senior business and IT stakeholders to understand business needs.

Evidence of the ability to lead requirements and solution definitions and work with business users to ensure the successful introduction of solutions

Evidence of a pro-active approach to problem solving and the ability to provide constructive challenge to business processes and requirements where appropriate

Evidence of hands on ability to establish and create enhancement and corrective methodologies, prepare proof of concepts and demonstrate proposals to HR teams.

Evidence of clear understanding of HR/Payroll legislation.

Experience of writing HR/Payroll report specifications and developing reports to meet Business requirements.

Technical experience of the following would be highly beneficial

- an understanding of the HRMS Data Schema
- Use of SQL tools, PL/SQL, Oracle Workflow, Oracle AME, XML/BI Publisher, Web ADI, Interfaces, OA Framework (desirable), OBIEE (desirable)
- Sysadmin incl workflow admin

DESIRABLE

Knowledge and experience of ESS/MSS, OPM and OLM modules

Experience of OBIEE

Any knowledge or experience of financial modules would be useful but not essential
